Extrapolating from this policy base, as a taxpayer, I veto Lachlan Connor. Period.

I’m not sure that Lachlan’s put much thought into this policy (does he think about any of them?) but I do acknowledge his attempt (failed) to harness democracy in its purest form.

PS -I just watched the LC campaign ad which savvily sends the message that voting for LC is a vote for everything that is good about Melbourne. Especially all the things about Melbourne regulated by State parliament (shopping districts, trams, urban planning), because LC won’t be able to interfere with them.

Some suggestions: Separate out the policy from the comedy (unless satirical) from the getting to know your social group. All of these are valuable but mixing them up lessens the overall impact (noting this was done in the latest vid).
The comedy should be funny, whether from scripting or delivery, but preferably both. The socialising should be natural and present a group of people that others would want to be part of. The policy should credible and emphatically delivered. I am not saying this is not happening, merely that failure to do so should not be accepted.
Also, being an independent doesn’t mean you have to be jack of all trades. Promote your strengths, and find others who can compensate for your weaknesses. Above all, think about the gravity of the role you wish to undertake, and the behaviour and professionalism it implies.
Personally, I would consider coming along to the conference in Brisbane cause it looks like theres a bit of interest in forming a political party. No doubt your particular skills and perspective would be appreciated, and you would in turn benefit from joining a collective effort.
Finally, I hope this is taken in the spirit it is intended. I respect and admire what you are doing, and wish you the best. However, I would rather failure was avoided as it might discourage yourself and others.
If you would rather not hear further suggestions from me, please ask the moderator to delete this post, and the previous one too if so desired.
Respectfully yours,
Invig (Ben)

I’ll pass the comments on to Lachlan, Invig. GrodsCorp is just a platform that he’s using. I’m sure he appreciates the feedback.

Invig seems to have the idea that LCI is fake, which many post grad. uni students would heartily disagree with.
