 Pro-Israel Prodos supports anti-Israel Pastor

Pastor Danny NalliahIn 2006 Catch The Fire Ministry’s Pastor Danny Nalliah was awarded the “Annual International Capitalism Award for Melbourne” by Prodos‘ Celebrate Capitalism project for supposedly standing up for free speech in the face of a religious vilification charge (that was later dropped). How slagging off Islam is standing up for capitalism I’ll never work out. But Prodos was so enamoured with Nalliah that he immortalised him in his alarming anti-Islam tune Under Sharia Law.

Today The Age revealed that Pastor Nalliah addressed a meeting of the extreme right-wing and proudly anti-Jewish League Of Rights in 2005, despite being warned about their racist views. Prodos, proudly pro-Israel (just this morning he posted a piece on his blog that ended with the line “May Israel Prevail”), must be spitting chips that he has publicly supported somebody who has been dumping on the wrong religion. Will Prodos now retract the Capitalism Award? We wait with our collective breath held.

Pastor Nalliah is also the Family First candidate from last Federal Election who wanted bottle shops and other “Dens of Satan” (I paraphrase) banned. Don’t forget to mention that Family First endorsed this guy.

Um just curiously, how does Prods reconcile his free market rules views with Israel? Israel is the west’s pathetic friend. You know the one that has to be bailed out time and time again. It would not survive the free market of Geopolitics. Well, at least, it would not be able to still hold territory it snabbed in 67.

Incidentally, Ayn Rand was an atheist and atheism was a part of the core of her philosophy. How Prodos can swing Atlas Shrugged around at the same time as embracing Christian politics is a bit self-contradictory.

you aren’t seriously looking for sense from Prodos? No I’ve heard this shit too many times from fuckers too pig brained stupid to think an ideology through properly.
They approach a set of ideology like a buffet at the local RSL club “…oooh I like that, but I ‘m not too sure about that, maybe if I pick the this out of that and put it on some of these”.
Much like the afore mentioned buffet, it all comes out the same way…as shit!!
I can almost hear it now “…well, God made capitalism…”
I’ts about time we had a department of public prosecutions case against someone for reckless misuse of logic.

You can’t prosecute idiocy or half the world would be behind bars.

well the whole comment was somewhat “non core” Bridg. It wasn’t really meant to be taken seriously, much like Prodos and Niallah themselves.
