Hopes gotten up

In line with GrodsCorp’s official policy of endorsing the most hopeless candidates for leadership positions within the coalition in order to further weaken it, I got a sudden rush of adrenaline when I saw the following headline on the ABC News Online front page tonight.

If only it were true.
And in other Liberal Wake Party news, does anyone else think that Christopher Pyne is the conservative version of Simon Crean? Let’s hope he gets up too.

We could only hope for Bronwyn, but we don’t deserve here leadership.
Incidentally, I’ve suddenly found myself leader of the Democrats. Huzzah!

“Christopher Pyne is the conservative version of Simon Crean”
Yes! Thank God I’m not the only person thinking of that.

Maybe the lovechild of alternate-reality conservative Crean and Miss Alexia Downer, given sneering lessons by Kim of Kath and Kim.

There’s something about Christopher Pyne that I just hate. He looks and sounds like the kind of weedy dweeb who sat down the front in Math, putting his hand up for every question and answering in a shrill, nasal, unbroken whine. He probably joined the Young Liberals to get out of woodwork.
Actually on that basis he’d made an ideal federal Liberal Party leader.

I think that while we’d all like to see an Abbott / Pyne leadership team imposed upon the Liberals even they can see that it wouldn’t be a particularly popular pairing.
What is more interesting is that the Lib deputy traditionally gets to choose their own portfolio, which inevitably is Treasury. Pyne, Robb, Bishop, do you think that Swann will be troubled by any of these people?
I’m pretty confident that Turnbull will get up and hang on to the leadership, but that their treasury spokesman may end up being a game of musical chairs.

o c’mon, isn’t ANYONE else hoping Sir Les Patterson gets up as leader of the libs, he’s the OBVIOUS choice.
