Comedian + prop = hilarity! There you have it — the only thing anyone in their right mind could possibly find amusing about Rove, and I’ve blown it.

On the plus side, I may have just saved you $44.90.

Anyone who pays money to see Rove McManus do stand-up at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival — presumably because they feel they don’t already see enough of him — wouldn’t know funny if it tickled them with an Ossie Ostrich arse-feather jammed into the business end of a Fleshlight.

The only people who should be excused for finding Rove funny are 80+ year old nannas.

I agree that Daryl and Rove are equally as funny as each other, but what make Rove so much worse is that he actually attempts stand-up. Correct me if I’m wrong but Daryl never did stand-up….

PS. I will take on anyone in an I hate Rove challenge. The guys makes me scream at the TV like I’m watching Today Tonight.

no, no, but…and this is REALLY clever, he takes an unusual or amusing anecdote and COMBINES it with the catch phrase “what the…?”, like he really cant believe it, like the event is sooooo incredulous he’s saying “what the..?” because he needs to hear it again.(on account of it being sooooo incredulous).
Oh it’s comic gold.

I’m sorry, but the entire Melbourne International Comedy Festival is pants. Possibly the most irritating time of the year is seeing those smug motherfuckers looking down from their posters plastered everywhere in Melbourne, with the requisite hilarious pun based on their name.

I agree about the woeful puns — Wil Anderson is a prick. His posters are just begging for someone to graffiti their own pun on them: “Wil you just FUCK OFF ALREADY!?”
