Compare and contrast

Step 1: Listen to this podcast (if you can — it’s pretty turgid stuff and is quite hard work) by Prodos on the topic of racism and racialism.
Step 2: Read this post by Prodos on the inferior “stone age” indigenous people of Australia.
Step 3: Listen to Prodos’ anti-Islam tune Under Sharia Law, or if you value your eardrums read the lyrics.
Step 4: Decide whether Prodos is a racist, a racialist, or neither. Give us your conclusions in comments.

he’s a tool-ist, or a tool-al-ist.
You know I’d have more respect for him if he was just up front about his racism, this kind of hair splitting attempt at semantics just demonstrated the kind of low-life scum he really is.
Nice proof that people of all ethnic backgrounds are equally capable of ignorant, racist views though.

After copping a spray at some hard right internet dump I’ve decided to go cold turkey, so I’ll have to give this one a miss. If I had to guess, though, I’d say (a) racist.

“Step 1:”

Relevant links are included on that page, including a link to my article:

===================
“Step 2:”
I don’t consider today’s Aborigines to be “Stone Age” nor in any way inferior or superior to non-Aborigines or part Aborigines.
I do consider the “Sorry” to be a load of meaningless, pointless, dangerous crap.
And the notion of a “Stolen Generation” to be a total fabrication with no basis in facts.
=======================
“Step 3:”
The link to the song, Under Sharia Law comes from this site:
http://www.brookesnews.com/undersharialawlyrics.html
The author is listed as “Anonymous Liberal Party Member”. It is not listed as “Prodos”.
Regardless, I think it’s an excellent little song and have linked to it often and drawn attention to it often.
I don’t find it to be anti Muslim as such.
In any case most Muslims (like most of any other people) are good, peaceful, responsible individuals.
My view on Islam as a religion - based on its fundamental texts - is that I think it’s incompatible with freedom and capitalism.
In contrast, Christianity as a religion - based on its fundamental texts - seems to be compatible with freedom and capitalism.

Prodos, you fucked up your own web address. Putting the thinker into thinkertothinker, again.

He’s answered the questions in ’step 4′ by ignoring it.

Again!! Geez!!
I’m entering http://prodos.thinkertothinker.com into the “website” field.
Am I supposed to leave out the http:// bit?

Damian, I liked it better when it didn’t work.
Saturday 23 February 2008, 11:56 pm #Damian
Yeah, Ant, well I’ve like gone cold turkey and that, so I didn’t even click it, hey.
Saturday 23 February 2008, 11:59 pm #Ray Dixon
Prodos, you went to a lot of trouble & detail to answer/correct steps 1-3, so why didn’t you also address step 4?
Sunday 24 February 2008, 12:00 am #Ant Rogenous
Great news, Damian. Now we’ve just gotta hope THR doesn’t decide to do the same — we’ll still have to get our deranged wingnut news from somewhere!

Are you joking?
Read - or even casually scan through - the links I’ve provided and you can see for yourself that my work already answers this ridiculous question.
But let me spell it out: I’m certainly neither a racist or a racialist.
An individual’s character or moral worth has nothing to do with their genetics.
I consider racism to be stupid, barbaric, and evil.
And I consider racialism - such as, for instance, those studies that supposedly show that blacks have scored lower on IQ tests than whites - to be scientifically unsound.
I go into detail about this @

and provide plenty of references.

Contrary to popular belief, a “Prodos” is NOT a computer operating system circa 1981 it’s actually the name of a pseudo intellectual dweeb who dresses like Slash (circa 1987) and is to politics what John Michael Howson is to intellectual analysis and critique of twentieth century film.
Like I said dickhead, I’d have more respect for you if you were just up front about your racist views.
Your hair splitting, and scemantic pedantry and your “I’m not racist but….” rantings are all the proof that is needed that common sense prevailed for the good people of Albert Park (except the 2% or whatever who were stupid enough to vote for you of course).
Do us all a favour and fuck off back to your Freemasonry lodge and ride a goat.
Sunday 24 February 2008, 3:44 am #Ray Dixon
My late Dad was a Freemason. A nice guy but, unfortunately, he held some racist views. I’ll never forget taking him into Crown Casino one day (just for a look, I deplore the place) and, as he looked out over a sea of Asians, the first thing he said was (loudly with a sneer), “Geezus, where are all the Australians?”.
Of course that doesn’t mean Prodos is racist too. I mean, “An individual’s character or moral worth has nothing to do with their genetics” … it’s more an environment and association thing.

as far as I’m aware it’s impossible to accurately determine a person’s race from DNA anyway so it’s kind of a “well duh” statement.
You know I really don’t care what Produce has to say about anything, I just straight out don’t like the man.
For the record, Freemasons do ride goats, that’s a well documented fact.

Has anyone else noticed that when you mashup prodos you get por sod?
Sunday 24 February 2008, 1:44 pm #Bridgit Gread
There’s nothing sadder than a bigoted tool who litters his hateful diatribes with one-liners about equality, tolerance and harmony. It’s like studding a cowpat with rhinestone diamantes then pointing to them when others complain of the smell.
Sunday 24 February 2008, 1:47 pm #Damian
Aye, Bridge. Like blogs with a sidebar disclaimer that says this site “does not advocate racism”. Well, that settles it then. I’m a leprechaun.
Sunday 24 February 2008, 3:15 pm #krypto
oh they should just put “smoking is healthy and good for you” on cigarette packets too, it’d save countless lives.
Can’t believe the health department never thought of that before, a DISCLAIMER, man, those things could fix all the worlds ills huh?
Sunday 24 February 2008, 3:20 pm #krypto
imagine it, serial murderers could avoid prosecution by wearing an “I am not a serial murderer” T-shirt, Brendan Nelson could be appointed PM by the GG by wearing an “I am popular” T-shirt…Bolta could put a little “this is all fakts” notice in the side of his blog and instantly become credible, oh what a merry old world it would be.

Ah, the sweet sound of Prodos getting the respect he deserves.

It fully sounds like the Martin Malloy community radio skit. “Not now” “Sorry”.
Does he have a duck driving a Mr Whippy Van?
