Call for suggestions

Despite that fact that GrodsCorp has Australia’s most popular podcast that starts with ‘G’ and has nine letters in its name I’m not a regular podcast consumer — but I want that to change. Can anybody suggest podcasts (preferably Australian, although international is fine) that are worth listening to? I’m after stuff that’s funny and not commercial.

I implore you to listen to The Bugle, an English podcast from Times Online with comedians Andy Zaltzman and John Oliver, who have a statirical dog at world events of the week, including several Australian ones - they covered the election.
There’s been a about 13 episodes. You’ll easily listen to a few in one setting. It’s very funny.

If you have an actual iPod it’s easily downloadable in iTunes podcasts.
Phillip Adams Late Night Live can be good to, especially when he has US political commentator John Shapiro. Ed I dare say Adams’ politics suit your. Also available at iTunes, or via http://www.abc.net.au/rn/latenightlive/default.htm

Failing that, try Prodos.

What are you trying to say, Wah? Are you implying that I’m not a balanced commentator? Are you implying that I lean to the left?
However did you get that idea?

Politics was probably the wrong word. Adam’s “opinions” would be to your liking.

I don’t like anybody who doesn’t hail David Hicks as a hero just like I do.

Thank you so much, Wah! Bugle awesome.
Scott: I know you don’t watch it, but John Oliver is one of the regular correspondents on Jon Stewart’s “The Daily Show”. I know you would never rely on the copious, well-seeded and comprehensive set of TDS torrents a less morally upright character might find on naughty internet sites like mininova.org, but if you wanted to pay a ludicrous and completely unjustified amount to join Foxtel instead, it’s on the Comedy Channel too.

John Oliver on TDS is bloody funny.
Did anyone see Stewart interview Jonah Goldberg recently? He’s the author of that execrable book “Liberal Fascism.”
Stewart made him look like a fool. Or rather, Stewart made Goldberg make Goldberg look like a fool.
But then again, as a liberal, Stewart is obviously a fascist and so prevented Goldberg accurately plugging his wonderful book.

I was fairly appalled by Monday night’s effort with Hillary, actually. My god she came across as calculating, and horrendously desperate.
