    Smashing.

Should you ever need a guest comrade to speak on the topic of the dangers of neo-liberal economics and noddy cars, I’m your man.

    Good podcast, BTW.

John, are you talking about Saturday morning because I was Connexed ™ too big time. I trying to get the first train home from town with red eyes, a crumpled suit (I hadn’t been home yet from fri work yet), no sunnies, no money, carpet burns, and a random girl I met at Cherry Bar. AND WE HAD TO GET A BUS FROM JOLIMONT?!

    __
    Top show team.

THR, just as long as you can keep the grocery budget in surplus.

  5.  Gravatar The Editor (Wednesday 5 March 2008, 7:42 am) #

Consider yourself locked in, THR. I’ll be in touch soon.

On the Libs’ 7% vs Fundies First’s less-than-four putting them in third place; we forgot the Greens. Who, on those figures, are already more popular than the Libs!

Chuck - that was it exactly. It’s creepy how much you knew about my weekend. Bloody Jolimont station.

Looks like you got yourself a stalker, John.

    Awesome!

The missus is sold on the GrodsThink now. We had a good giggle over lunch. She suggested you need to recruit a female Grod, though.

Loved the comments on Harry: “interesting, important, but… whatever. That sums it up.

Glad to hear that Melbournians are getting Connexed. Sydneysiders have been getting royally Shittyrailed for years. Canberra, by contrast, is sweet as a nut.

  11.  Gravatar The Editor (Wednesday 5 March 2008, 2:26 pm) #

Agree on the need for female representation. That is due to be rectified next week (won’t spoil the surprise) and Bridgit has promised to come on as soon as she can — bit busy at moment.

    Oi!

Coopers Sparkling Ale has a higher approval rating the Nelson could ever achieve!

    Prime Minister Shmiminister?

    What about Kevin Chud?

  14.  Gravatar Bridgit Gread (Wednesday 5 March 2008, 3:25 pm) #

I won’t be doing any podcasts if I’ve got to huddle around a single mike and rub knees with John Surname.

  15.  Gravatar The Editor (Wednesday 5 March 2008, 3:34 pm) #

    Excellent work, Bruce.

All the public transport issues you are having in Melbourne are writ-small in Adelaide. Similar political treatment (albeit without the ticketing issue - we’ve had that licked since the 80s). Urban sprawl is causing problems for the system (e.g. Greenwith) and obvious problems with routes aren’t being fixed.

The suburb of Greenwith is a good example of urban sprawl meets bad public transport and is probably a preview of what you’ll be copping in those new areas that Melbourne is expanding into.

You do realise you can hear Lattes being made in the background of the Grodscast?

  18.  Gravatar keri (Wednesday 5 March 2008, 7:38 pm) #

    Sorry, sorry, GrodsTHINK.

  19.  Gravatar Goobermetrics (Wednesday 5 March 2008, 8:29 pm) #

I’m still holding out for the 2 minute GrodsThink digest version.

“I won’t be doing any podcasts if I’ve got to huddle around a single mike and rub knees with John Surname.”

    My mighty heart is breaking.

  21.  Gravatar The Editor (Thursday 6 March 2008, 10:49 am) #

I never noticed that, Keri… AWESOME!

  22.  Gravatar keri (Thursday 6 March 2008, 10:58 am) #

I missed at least three or four minutes because I was laughing at that.

  23.  Gravatar Bridgit Gread (Thursday 6 March 2008, 1:11 pm) #

I’m embarrassed to say that I put GrodsFink #6 on the other night and went to sleep about 10 minutes in. I was very tired though.

  24.  Gravatar The Editor (Thursday 6 March 2008, 1:13 pm) #

That’s the second time that somebody has told us GrodsThink put them to sleep. I’m picking up a pattern here.

  25.  Gravatar The Editor (Thursday 6 March 2008, 1:16 pm) #

Straight to the GrodsThink pool room.

  26.  Gravatar Jeremy (Friday 7 March 2008, 6:04 pm) #

    “My mighty heart is breaking.”

You’re watching far too many old D-Gen tapes, John.

  27.  Gravatar Ant Rogenous (Friday 7 March 2008, 6:17 pm) #

    That was Rainier Wolfcastle!

“… I’ll be in the Humvee.”

  28.  Gravatar Damian (Sunday 9 March 2008, 9:54 am) #

Played GrodsThink for the boys last night. Two new listeners. I love this groupthink thing. I am Borg.

  29.  Gravatar The Editor (Sunday 9 March 2008, 10:01 am) #

    Woo hoo! A 50% increase!
