That reminds me of the war memorial in the centre of Warrnambool, Vic. It's an angel holding a laurel wreath and when viewed from side-on looks like <a href="http://www.goddess.com.au/Writer/Articles/ArticleImages/Nullarbor/WarrnamboolDirtyAngel200.jpg" rel="nofollow">this</a>.

Even more unfortunate than me calling the "Office of Government Commerce" the "Department of Government Commerce".

Actually, I can relate to the dubious message being sent by legal aid.

A number of years ago, I went to legal aid for advice on a cop who held a gun in my face (who had no intent to arrest me or grounds to or even the vague appearance of grounds to). Person from legal aid went AWOL on the meeting and I got no answers as to why.

That was after Police Complaints didn't acknowledge my complaint and before the Ombudsman was over a month late in responding to my complaint to them about the Police Complaints Authority being tardy about responding to their complaints.

All which was capped off with the PCA, after being contacted by the ombudsman, giving a demonstrably bogus account of why they didn't contact me in the first place, based on a supposed misspelling of an email address that I didn't initially give them to contact me, but rather one from a much later communication (where I asked the PCA to please respond) that didn't match the date.

I can sympathise with those pushed through very narrow squares.

Unless they can pick up their acts (and get some decent support in the case of legal aid), they all need their respective offices and departments merged and given the mother of all wank logos.

That's like the logo legal aid used to have, which was a circle over a stylised curvy z shape, meant to signify a person with hands outstretched or something.

Only rotate it 90 degrees and it read "NO".

They've changed it to a square inside a circle, now, which is meant to signify finding solutions for "square pegs" even in "round holes", although what that says to me is "no matter what your shape, we'll be jamming you through this round hole we already prepared", which is, I think, an unfortunate message.
