Remember recent blogospheric debutant Alexander Downer’s serious namedropping problem? Well here are a few lines from his latest post.
Last week, while in Washington I spoke to Congressional staffers to help them with the new Congressional sanctions Bill. I instituted human rights training programs for mid-level officials.
New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and I did our best…

You mean he isn’t?
He obviously thought he was in government today during question time because his behaviour was bad enough to get him ejected, something that would never have happened a year ago.

Oh dear. Poor old AD. Didn’t he threaten to fuck off our of politics? Anyway we can encourage that?

From today’s Hansard, page 57, “The SPEAKER—The member for Mayo can go and have his cup of tea for an hour under 94(a). Off
you go.”
I believe that’s politician talk for how we’d say “Fuck Off” here in the blogosphere.

Not only did he “institute human rights training programs for mid-level officials”, he also invented der innyweb too.

Actually “human rights” and “Alexander Downer” in the same sentence is bizarre.
