For the record, I’m a fan of Keri’s contributions. Personally, I want to hear more of her. But knowing how these things mature over time – under their own steam – I won’t be pressuring her to do more than she is now.

That was my first character, Keri. I then morphed into the second one. By the end I’d morphed into “man who realises he’s talked over everyone throughout the entire podcast once again and probably won’t be invited back”.

But seriously, Anna, do I come across that way all the time in comments at Jeremy’s blog? It’s really not my intention — most of the time I’m just trying to be funny — but after about a year of having commented there I’m sick to death of the idiots (like Reap) who lob in solely to stir shit.

There have been some terrific debates there in the past, with many more ruined by childish “gotcha!” merchants who think a cheap shot at the site’s host is some kind of victory against an imaginary, amorphous enemy they know as “The Left”.

Pity you couldn’t have got MK on the line for a comment, although the reading of his “thoughts” was probably pretty close to the real thing. Every time I read something he’s written I picture him sitting at his computer like this.

I love the way that Jeremy casually drops the C-bomb in the first sentence and then expresses his frustration using the very proper “bother” in the second. Layer upon layer of contradiction, our Jeremy.
