Disgust and moral outrage in today’s Herald Sun:

Chris Evert has revealed how her affair with Greg Norman was responsible for the end of both their marriages. Evert revealed she and Norman had tried to fight their desire for each other and had undergone counselling with their long-time spouses, Andy Mill and Laura Andrassy.

But the former tennis champion, who married Norman in the Bahamas last month, said it did not work and the pair ended their marriages to be together.

When they separated from their spouses in 2006, both repeatedly maintained to the media there were no third parties involved in the splits.

As you’d expect the Herald Sun’s comment page is full of moral high-horse jockeys - however I’m well surprised that they published my own contribution (comment 28). Kudos to the sub with a conscience. And a hearty LOL to ‘Grods reader’ (comment 33) also.

Looking at how Norman is playing at this year’s British Open (he’s 2 shots in front going into the final round and he’s a 53 yr old ‘invitee’ who’s not meant to win it) then maybe he should have got onto Chrissie a couple of decades ago.

My father is on his third marriage, and there wasn’t exactly any down time between any of them, if you know what I mean. Should I tell him this makes him part of the filthy left? He’d hate that, being a Howard supporter.
