It’s that time of the week again for the GrodsTeam to gather in a Carlton bar and record a podcast that a handful of people might possibly listen to. And so it’s that time of the week again for you to send the funniest thing you’ve seen on the intertubes to grodsthink [at] grods [dot] com.

Get to it.

Does this include Temmeh making a(n even bigger) fool of himself on a certain TBBWP comment thread? HIL-arious.

It sure does. I believe that Jeremy has bagsed that one for his funniest thing.

Oh dear. Now my typo and my dodgy connection are making a fool out of me. Bugger.

I haven’t seen Timmeh so flustered, or unwilling to answer a straight question, since he royally ballsed up his appearance on the ABC’s Q&A program.

My suggestions (well not strictly internet) are:

    1. Big Brother - how does a 53 year old bogan win a show aimed at 12 years olds?
    2. The Pope - even he couldnt keep his hands off the kiddies during the tour around Randwick
    3. Greg Norman - obviously the Honeymoon worked for him… well for 3 days anyway
    4. Roberta Williams in a bikini - oh dear
    5. Andrew’s graphs

but my winner of the week was George Megalogenis wetting himself on Insiders. On so many levels that was the best thing in the media this week.

I know it’s shameless self promotion but the funniest thing I saw this week was a post titled “exporting weirdness” on this blog

I think Ed’s plan is to delay uploading the podcast until anticipation is at fever pitch. Or at least the pitch of a mild cough.

Um… It’s still a little bit not very edited. Will rectify in lunch break.

    Call yourself an Editor? Sheesh.

    He’s a sub-editor… ’sub’ as in sub-standard.

I guess he had to do playground duty.

  12.  Gravatar John Surname (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 5:12 pm) #

    He’s fired.

  13.  Gravatar keri (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 5:14 pm) #

    You’re harsh, Surname.

    Harsh but (un)fair.

[...] Because all youse bastards are too busy giving me shit in another thread, use only the “Play in popup” link or the “Download” link. [...]

It wasn’t an easy decision, Keri, but I had to make it. Jeremy and Ant hid so they wouldn’t be party to it.

  16.  Gravatar Toaf (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 5:45 pm) #

Ed, you gotta speed things up a bit. Once the pod is up, I have to spend six days dowloading the fucker. Current connection speed: 24.2 kb/s.

(I actually drafted this comment twelve hours ago.)

  17.  Gravatar The Editor (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 5:47 pm) #

Sorry, Damian. And it’s a fucking monster download too.

Hey! What’s with Ant’s mug on the GrodsCorp avatar? Is it a hostile leadership coup?

  18.  Gravatar Toaf (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 5:53 pm) #

Nice counter-offensive, Ed. Coup by gravatar. Maybe they can try that in Zimbabwe.

  19.  Gravatar The Editor (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 5:55 pm) #

He he. I slapped that coup attempt down by making sure my face now appears.

  20.  Gravatar Toaf (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 6:00 pm) #

Wait til Mugabe sees the new 10 zillion dollar note with Tsvangirai’s mugshot on it. Then he’ll just know it’s all over.

  21.  Gravatar The Editor (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 11:14 pm) #

Strike a light! The GrodsCorp pingback is now showing Bron’s Gravatar.

    I’m being undermined here.

  22.  Gravatar Jeremy (Wednesday 23 July 2008, 11:39 pm) #

    “Strike a light”?

  23.  Gravatar Toaf (Thursday 24 July 2008, 1:04 am) #

    “Strike a light!”

Someone’s been reading Elijah’s blog again.

  24.  Gravatar Bron (Thursday 24 July 2008, 9:29 am) #

Watch your every move, Ed, or you’ll get poked out.

  25.  Gravatar magic bellybutton (Thursday 24 July 2008, 10:26 am) #

    Don’t you mean boned?

  26.  Gravatar skeptic (Thursday 24 July 2008, 10:45 am) #

Well, back to the topic at hand, the funniest thing I’ve read this week is from everyone’s favourite Greenie, Andrew Bolt, commenting on the plan by the Plug the Pipe group to protest at Brumby’s farm:

…if they do not call off this stunt and apologise they will have lost the strongest media supporter of their cause. What’s more, I’ll go them hard.

Does that mean he’ll bone them?
