Teh Muslim is coming!!1!

Democrat Barack Obama stands on the verge of becoming the first black US president, after capturing key states Ohio and Pennsylvania to leave Republican John McCain a near-impossible route to the presidency.

Bron, Michelle and countless other filthy lefties are trembling with anticipation at the Democrat’s likely victory, but I’m trembling with anticipation at MK’s post at A Western Heart after B. Hussein Obama is handed the keys to the White House. Just look at the venom in his latest post about a Muslim illegal immigrant in Britain who killed somebody in a car accident and won’t be deported by authorities.

Oh poor baby, how terrible, I mean what’s up with you bloody xenophobic people, what have you got against immigrants. They have human rights you know, don’t get me wrong, Pakistan is a wonderful place, all cultures are equal and all that, but social services are pretty bad out there. There isn’t a lot of social and economic justice there you know. So it would be too much for Laura and baby to move there and make a life over there. Waiter, I’ll have my regular, decaf-soy-chai-whatever-the-heck-stupid-leftists-drink thanks.

For serious, the reaction of AWH-and-friends to Obama’s win is going to be the spectator sport of the year. Full coverage on Grods tomorrow.

He’s not “on the verge of becoming” any more. He “is”.

And can I just say - thank fuck for that.

‘Teh Left’ is now in power in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and the UK.

MK, it’s time to emigrate - and shut the fucking door when you leave.

  3. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 3:47 pm #michelle

  4. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 3:49 pm #Bron

bolt did a bit of goal past changing this morning claiming it didnt matter if obama withdrawls from iraq because iraq has already been won, haha what a clown he is

  6. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 3:50 pm #Bron

And planning where to go for a piss-up after work.

  7. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 3:50 pm #Bron

I’d love to see Timmeh’s despair right now.

  8. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:19 pm #Reuben van Bemmel

The poor Boltlings will now have to suffer.

  9. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:23 pm #Mondo Rock

The Boltlings are irrelevant now - they can lather each other up over at Boltworld as much as they like but nobody will care.

The return to good government in the US will expose them as the fringe lunatics they’ve always been.

  10. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:26 pm #Ross Sharp

    Un. Fucking. Believable. WOW!!

  11. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:28 pm #michelle

The tears began at the end of his speech.

I want to go work in the White House for the next 4 years.

  12. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:29 pm #Bron

    YIPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:30 pm #Dam Buster of Preston

There are numerous Boltard posts about the leftist MSM etc getting Obama in.

I do think McCain is not a bad man. Some of his attacks on the Bush tourture intiatives were commendable. His problem is that he belongs to a shit party.

Come 20 January expect a “Bush the Statesman” column and posts from Bolt as a final fling.

  14. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:30 pm #Bron

I WANT TO GO TO THE INAUGURATION!!!!!!!!!

  15. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:37 pm #michelle

    Me too!!!!

  16. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:44 pm #Keri

I couldn’t give a shit about MK right now, folks.

I’m just happy right now. And hopeful. Probably unreasonably, but it’s nice to hope for once.

  17. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:45 pm #EC

Like Mondo said, thank FUCK for that.

Will it really mean a return to good government in the US? I hope so. Like the 2007 Australian Federal election what I feel most strongly is relief. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade. I really wish I felt jubillation rather than just relief.

I was reading an article about David Foster Wallace in The Monthly this morning. I keep thinking of parts of a quote from Wallace that they use in the article.

“He (Wallace) tells of going to church on 12 September 2001 to:
‘…pray, silently and fervently, that you’re wrong about the president, that your view of him is maybe distorted and he’s actually far smarter and more substantial than you believe, not just some…nexus of corporate interests dressed up in a suit but a statesman of courage and probity and…and it’s good to pray this way. It’s just a bit lonely to have to”

  18. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 4:56 pm #EC

Ah, just ignore me and my doubtin’. Today is not the day for it. I’m slightly insane from lack of sleep and being glued to the intertubes all day.

Like Keri said, even if it’s unreasonable, it’s nice to hope for once.

    Bolt at his finest:

“Listening to this for a clue to what president Obama hopes to be, I’m seeing the outlines of a Republican president, twice quoted already: Abraham Lincoln. Except it’s a Lincoln who prays at the temple of global warming and would have pulled out after Gettysburg. Who is more populist and not defiantly against the wrong-headed crowd. Which isn’t Lincoln at all.

Now he’s doing his “yes, we can” riff, and it’s draining away into slogans. He finishes on this limp note, but the music is soaring. On walks his wife, Michelle, pumping a clenched fist with a fierce grin. Hmm. “

  20. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 5:21 pm #Bridgit Gread

Bolt’s coverage is pernicious, hateful and ungracious. Not that we expect anything different.

  21. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 5:24 pm #Suburban Marxist

    Sweet!

    :-)

p.s. Disclaimer: Obama has inherited an economic catastrophe. I give him about two months before he turns on his own supporters in an attempt to make them pay for the crisis.

  22. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 5:46 pm #John Surname

    SGS summed it up nicely:

“Imagine for a moment that you’ve had Rice Bubbles for breakfast every day for the last eight years, you’re tired of it, and on November four you get to choose something else to have for breakfast for the next four years. The sensible thing to do would be to change to something else which is a breakfast food, such as another cereal, or perhaps toast or crumpets. It wouldn’t make sense to make a radical change such as making pumpkin soup or roast lamb and vegetables your breakfast for the next four years.”

  23. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 5:52 pm #El Barbudo

Bush is Batman and Iraq is Gettysburg? Fuck off Bolt, you slimy, demented, deluded cunt.

  24. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 6:44 pm #Toaf

    MK is my favourite.

I wubs my demented paranoid wingnut.

  25. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 6:58 pm #Broken left leg

Ooooh larf now lefties, but where will you be when Obama leads the first Muslim stoning session outside 1600 Pencilmania avenue?

  26. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 9:34 pm #Darryl Mason

Attention, Evil Pagan Lefties. Restrain yourselves, don’t get too excited too soon. You must not reveal yourselves to be the Secret Muslims you’ve always been until January 20, 2009. January 21? Go nuts. It’s important, for the shock factor, that all Secret Muslims reveal themselves on the same day, across the world, when Obama drops to his hands and knees in the Rose Garden and faces Mecca. Congratulations on successfully hiding your secret Muslimism behind a Green Nazi facade. It was a great plan, and Obama Bin Laden showed how to pull it off. The White House will gain a turret for prayer calls and the chapel will be replaced with a mini-mosque.

    Allah’s In The House

So you all know that Obama is actually The AntiChrist, right?

The fRightened have lost control of the biggest and most powerful democracy in the world. It’s a great day for democracy, mostly calm and so alive with passion and belief and celebration. And a great day indeed for the united youth of the United States.

The bitter, foul tide of the NeoCons and Rove election tactics dies today.

  27. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 9:49 pm #Reuben van Bemmel

That sounds like an excellent urban planning policy, Darryl. I would just suggest a few bike paths encircling the Green Nazi facade.

  28. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 10:06 pm #Bridgit Gread

I am going to put on my official Bob Brown burqa, head down to my local Christian church and defecate on the nativity scene. Then I’m going on the hajj to Melton Mecca before coming home to implement Sharia law. With a bit of luck I’ll have overthrown Western civilisation before tea-time.

  29. Wednesday 5 November 2008, 11:10 pm #Jeremy

    *relief*

EC @ 17 - I was so sad to hear that Wallace had killed himself. I have a wonderful book he wrote about Georg Cantor (”Everything and More”) which I’m re-reading. If you’re interested in mathematics (or even if you aren’t) get it, and read it. I have a degree in mathematics, and I still learned a lot from it.
