Prodos normally trumpets the arrival of each of his various campaign songs on his website and is never shy to own up as writer and performer. Strange then that this tune, critical of the Liberal Party, has been released on Prodos-sympathetic website Brookes News but attributed to an anonymous contributor.
The pitch of the vocals has been cranked up Chipmunks style, but there’s no doubt it’s Prodos. Compare with other Prodos numbers here, here and here. The tinny Midi arrangement, the not-quite-rhyming lyrics, the incredible sense of injustice over a certain preselection battle. Behold an excerpt from the lyrics:

I suppose it did occur to you prodos didn’t write and sing it.
I’ll wager Prodos didn’t and win.
Brookesnews has been hitting the KKR hard too, so why wouldn’t it post a satirical ditty which is accurate?
Anyway, I’ll leave you guessing who wrote it, and who sung it: it wasn’t Prodos, it wasn’t Brookesnews. That only leaves anyone of all the Liberal Party members who have sharpened axes - use of, headlopping Korger and the KKR.
Dear, dear, dear, ed, in your pre-occupation with sliming Prodos you get things awfully wrong, as in this case.

Oh, to make the wager easier, I neither wrote it nor sung either. I’ve just narrowed the bet by another one, you only have to figure who out of all the Liberal members did.
