Now looks like Greens won’t get anything in the lower house, and maybe only two in the upper.

ABC have been annoying the hell out of me with their overly early, inaccurate predictions. This morning they said that Greens will get minimum three in the LC, now the results on their site say only two.

And with regards with the headline.
4.3% is far too high for a joke party… :(

I was away from the telly last night so I missed the ABC broadcast which is probably a good thing — avoid getting the hopes up and having them dashed etc.

The biggest travesty about the FF vote is that being a fingernail above 4% it delivers them taxpayer funding. Bastards.

Oh No! More 17 second Extreme Greens ads!!!

Frankly I think it’s scary. 4% is way to high in Australia’s most liberal state. I’m worried for the 07 elections.

    Rejected ?

    The ALP is down 4.3%
    Family First got 4.3%

The voters rejected the Libs and embraced Family First.

    Great news for all Victorians.

Lefty, or they could have got the Labor vote and with preferences, shifted to the greens.

Lefty, it would be interesting to compare stats for Pentecostal church attendance in this State to FF first pref votes. I wouldn’t expect the vote to rise much more than it current level in ‘07.

I still think they were rejected given that they claim to represent every family in Victoria. Clearly almost every family in Victoria thinks otherwise.

Editor, that was not the real MrLefty. (Obviously, since he’s taking delight in Fundies First winning votes.)

It was my imposter stalker. If you feel that dishonestly attempting to appropriate someone else’s identity is worthy of deletion and banning, I couldn’t disagree with you…

I’ve adjusted his name to something more fitting and removed the link.

He wasn’t very good at making you look happy about FF’s vote. I just thought it was the real you being sarcastic.

Let the hatred flow through you young Editor… hatred leads to hurt, hurt leads to sorrow, sorrow leads to anger, anger leads to the church.

    I am NOT your family!!!

If I started attending the Pentecostal Church do you think anyone would believe me if I said it was for “research purposes”?

  13.  Gravatar Fuck Skippy (Monday 27 November 2006, 11:04 am) #

A friend of mine, and a declared athiest, started attending a baptist bible studies group at university obstensibly for “research purposes”.

Now she spouts god, all her friends spout god, and the small group of athiests that used to know her no longer do.

    :-(

re the title of the post, equally you could call it “People reject People Power”, it appears that Stephen Mayne’s precious dellusions were little else.

A pastor would take you by the hand and guide you to whatever area of ‘research’ that would help save your soul.

“……..re the title of the post, equally you could call it “People reject People Power”, it appears that Stephen Mayne’s precious dellusions were little else.”
From a standing start with little funds/footsoldiers it wasnt that bad a performance,I reckon. Split the tiny democrat vote?

Trust me, Skippy (Fuck), I’m in no danger of treading your friend’s path.

Joe, I think there are two things that People Power need to work on if they are to become a respectable Party:
    1) Expand their horizons — at the moment they are a two-issue Party: pokies and disabilities.
    2) Rely less on novelty candidates and forget the silly stunts like sweeping Parliament’s stairs.
