 Labor in, Life expectancy up

Is it any surprise that life expectancy has gone up after Labor was voted into power?

The latest comparative study of the nation’s overall health by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) - the government body responsible for compiling health statistics - shows that a baby born in Australia today can expect to live for 81.4 years, with men expected to live for 79 years and women for almost 84. Australians’ life expectancy is bettered only by the Japanese at 82.2 years.

Sad thing is, if the Libs had won, several websites who shall remain nameless would have linked the two, and gloated about the health giving benefits of Australia’s now second favourite party.

Yep.

Them’s logic for ya.

Now, as we all know, there’s nothing remotely funny about setting up a fake blog with pernicious intent.

Or is there?

I don’t like to use the word “hypocrite”, BUT…

MK has this to say:

I generally try to steer clear of hateful leftists, but as usual, that’s not enough for these hateful creatures, they must let you know what they think of you. What a charming fellow this D—– B—– is eh. I believe all this started because I banned his hateful self from AWH, so he slithered over here, now you know why I banned him. Folks, I have lost count of the number of angry leftists who insist that my blog and blogs I write on and are useless and are read by no one, yet they just can’t stay away and still they yearn to have their say on these blogs that no one apparently reads. On the plus side, unlike the others who tend to drone on a bit, this one was just straight to the point, there wasn’t any dancing around, just 100% hate and anger.

A few points:

MK cannot claim the high moral ground. We know he reads this site. A lot. He doesn’t comment here, of course, because he’s not surrounded by his buddies, and he can’t delete any dissenting comments.

Judgement: Pissweak.

How hard I laughed when read MK’s hissy fit because someone called him a name. Of course, MK would NEVER think of calling someone a juvenile name!

Here are some recent comments MK has posted:

“Eff off john gasbag, you sniveling sack of pig filth. Your parents are looking for you, feeding time, here jonny, jonny, come get yer sausage boyo. It’s lamb tonite, whose a good doggy now, must work on your incessant yapping though.”

“Don’t tell me to get my facts right you irritating sack of excrement, i quote from media sources. You got a problem with them bird-brain, then take it up with them, stupid cow…”

“No worries jono, just try to keep your solicitations off this blog alright.

Oh and that last attempt of yours to pretend to be me, sorry you sniveling old testicle-sniffer, i saw you from a mile away, you stood out like, well a sniveling old testicle-sniffer. Run along now and start whining and crying into your mothers-skirts like the tosser you really are. You have a face and an intellect only a mother could tolerate.

I must say you really are a predictable, immature, sniveling old testicle-sniffer.”

“Angry that we’re allowed to speak ar, very angry. Get lost club wank.”

“Hopefully it’ll be 14 months of being somebody’s bitch at a fixed address. After that it’ll be onto centrelink to suckle on the taxpayers teat.”

“Yeah, lots of comments when yearning to free the scumbag, but suddenly nothing to say to the rest of the community for something that affects them.

Oh yeah and the United Nations, always siding with the scum of the earth eh.”

“The warning is not up there for fun asshole.”

These were from the front page of AWH alone.

Judgement: Hypocrite.

Now poor MK wants be left alone! It must be annoying when you post retarded views, and can’t defend them.

If it wasn’t for someone called Nicole Austin, no-one would read AWH.

Why am I not surprised?

The sixth school shooting in a week has taken place today.

Mentions of these tragedies on pro-gun, trigger-happy AWH?

Zero.

Must be difficult to promote your cause when the inconvenient facts are staring you in your face.

 “I’ve got indigenous friends, but…”

AWH’s resident fruit-loop KG is an expert on all things indigenous - he’s lived, worked and travelled with them (hard not to forget; he constantly tells the world) so he is a source of great wisdom and authority on the topic. Today he informs indigenous Australians that this morning’s ‘Sorry’ doesn’t mean jack … and that he and his wife have done far more to help them than any government:

You’ve shown my beloved wife your affection and boundless hospitality and generosity and in return she cared for your wounds and your sick children, at the cost of her own health and the chance to advance further in her chosen career. More than once she risked her life and considered it a small price to pay for the joy your company brought her.

How very noble: she should be knighted in the Queen’s Birthday honours. Now I can’t speak for Mrs KG, since it’s her husband doing the talking, but note the thinly-veiled barb about her health and how she sacrificed advancement in “her chosen career”. Wouldn’t a true friend of the Aboriginal people consider such service an honour, a life fulfilled, instead of carping about hardships and lost opportunities? You didn’t hear Fred Hollows whinging about living in tents and shacks in Eritrea, missing out on the squillions he could’ve made in private practice. KG’s stock on the sainthood exchange just dropped a few points.

The apology of this Gummint doesn’t speak for us, any more than it is offered sincerely to you, our friends. It’s just more Gummint Business, and we both know what that means, eh, blackfellas. Pass me a beer, Bangleesh and to hell with ‘em.

The hand of tolerance and friendship was offered to a quarter-million Australians today - tokenistic or not it was an unprecedented step - and all this bigoted gollum can do is lurk in the shadows, whispering “Psst! Don’t believe them! They liiiiiee!” I’d like to see KG stand before those women weeping on the lawns of Parliament House today and tell them it was a cynical, meaningless gesture. Let’s see how many blackfella friends he has then.

AWH does it all over again

AWH has finally confirmed that they want to take us back to the Middle Ages, when people were noble and Knights were respected:

These sacks of filth deserve a whipping and a flogging, chain them in the town square and make an example I say. Shame, you whining gasbags, shame on you, you worthless leftist sacks of filth!!!

I’ll say it in language they will understand:

Verily, good Sir, you make me ill in the chesteth, and make my stomach rumble & lurch & my lunch thrusteth ever upward.

Update: As we all know, the AWH comments are always headlined by the threat “Nonsensical comments and trolling will result in something you may not expect”. Have they actually ever followed through on this, or is just more of the faux machismo they specialise in?

On this first day in Rudd’s Australia, it’s amusing watching right-wing bloggers trot out all the hackneyed excuses and you’ll-be-sorry conniptions they can conjure up. A quick whip-around the Interpipes shows:

Timmeh Blair is noticeably subdued: the best he can come up with is picking on Rudd’s turn of phrase and choice of campaign music. Not so Timmeh’s swarm of commenters. American and true believer in democracy ‘El Cid’ informs all Aussies “of the right mind” (I think he means the 46.5% who didn’t vote for or preference the ALP - how insulting!) that “…stupidity falls under its own weight“. Terminal dingbat Richard McEnroe says that “if America hadn’t had Carter, we’d never have gotten Ronald Reagan” … which I hope doesn’t mean our next PM will be Paul Hogan. MikeW asks all the big questions (”So, did Gillard lap dance Rudd when the Bow-chicka-bow porn music was playing?”) while ‘Pedro the Ignorant’ lives up to his monicker, losing a couple of grand betting on the election then proclaiming “Graceful in defeat? Fuck that. The war just started.”

The Rudd-love is a bit more guarded at A Wrestling Heart, where resident buffoon ‘MK’ seems to think John Howard is dead (”You must be so relieved to be free, free at last from all the hate and hostility from the left and the media, you’ve earned your peace…”). He goes on to forecast a litany of things that will go wrong under a Rudd government, such as the decline of public education, the Internets and “storms, heat, cold and drought” (I didn’t realise Kruddy was so omnipotent). ‘Tiberius’ earlier decried the election-day shenanigans of “typical leftist filth”, pointedly ignoring reports that former immigration minister Kevin Andrews tore down the posters of another candidate, while Oz journo cum electoral-interferer Caroline Overington bitch-slapped Labor candidate for Wentworth, perhaps because earlier this year he rejected her clumsy e-mail advances.

Lastly, after spending the last week telling all who dare read his blog not to vote for Rudd, orthographic abstract artist Iain Hall declares that the Ruddster is, in fact, a conservative. But he still pledges to hold him to account anyway (”Tomorrow is indeed another day and this blogger will keep fighting the good fight for the things that he believes in.”) Phew, what a relief! Hally cheers the probable demise of Kerry Nettle in the Senate, however it’s worth noting that Greens preferences helped oust Liberal member Peter Dutton from Hall’s own seat of Dickson. And the new ALP member for Dickson is - wait for the delicious irony - a teacher, a unionist, a woman and blonde. We all get the politicians we deserve, and so has Iain.
