Last week we told you about Pastor Danny Nalliah’s faulty hotline to God and AV has been doing a great job following up on that story since. Today AV summarises some of the more hilarious responses to a Nalliah blog post on his horribly wrong prophecy about the coalition winning the election. In the spirit of GrodsCorp’s long record of sensible and mature debate here’s a prank comment I may or may not have left on the blog.

UPDATE (6/12): Prophecy correct! Comment now deleted.

God is a lying liar who lies

Danny Nalliah, proud recipient of the highly sought “Annual International Capitalism Award for Melbourne”, has exposed God as a big, fat liar.

Well, I believe with all my heart believe… that the Prime Minister [John Howard] will be re-elected to government. And also that the Federal Treasurer [Peter Costello] would be handed over the leadership.

[…]

Now this was something I knew because God spoke to me and told me very clearly a few days prior to the meeting with John Howard and Peter Costello — as to what was going to be the future of this country in the next election.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

 PRODOS followup

The Editor is trout fishing(!) somewhere in regional Victoria at the moment, so it’s up to me to follow up this post about PRODOS.

Recap:

Prodos awards Catch The Fire Ministries pastor Danny Nalliah  the Annual International Capitalism Award for Melbourne.

Later it’s revealed Danny Nalliah addressed an anti-Israel group in 2005.
Prodos is pro-Israel.

Prodos freaks out.

Got it?

Fast forward to now. Yesterday Prodos posted an interview with Danny Nalliah, obviously just to confirm where this guy stands. It must be said that Prodos speaks for 3:25 before this guy even gets a word in. What is interesting about this interview is the tone of incredulity that Prodos maintains throughout - like you’d be crazy not to believe what he says!

Note: This interview is for “innerlecules” only.

Prodos: Now just let me apologise for not being more well-versed on Christianity…

Apology accepted! Prodos always asks the hard questions:

Prodos: Aren’t you making bad people look good by being there?

Ugh, listen to it yourself, it’s pretty unbearable. Just wait for when Danny Nalliah likens being homosexual to being a druggie.

 Pro-Israel Prodos supports anti-Israel Pastor

Pastor Danny NalliahIn 2006 Catch The Fire Ministry’s Pastor Danny Nalliah was awarded the “Annual International Capitalism Award for Melbourne” by Prodos‘ Celebrate Capitalism project for supposedly standing up for free speech in the face of a religious vilification charge (that was later dropped). How slagging off Islam is standing up for capitalism I’ll never work out. But Prodos was so enamoured with Nalliah that he immortalised him in his alarming anti-Islam tune Under Sharia Law.

Today The Age revealed that Pastor Nalliah addressed a meeting of the extreme right-wing and proudly anti-Jewish League Of Rights in 2005, despite being warned about their racist views. Prodos, proudly pro-Israel (just this morning he posted a piece on his blog that ended with the line “May Israel Prevail”), must be spitting chips that he has publicly supported somebody who has been dumping on the wrong religion. Will Prodos now retract the Capitalism Award? We wait with our collective breath held.
