Timmeh Blair, an avid reader of GrodsCorp, has read our story about Andrew and Kate’s Poundster Kevin07 challenge and duly misrepresented it on his blog-of-shame.

Labor fan Kate Pounder announces the Kevin07 Seven Wonders Challenge:

There are seven wonders of the world - can we get a show of support for Kevin07 in front of each one before election day? Let’s call it the Kevin07 Seven Wonders Challenge.

You already did, Kate, possibly without knowing exactly which seven wonders you’re talking about.

Doesn’t matter that Andrew points out in the comments of the post that he and Kate are referring to the new seven wonders of the modern world, recently selected in a global poll:

Here are the Seven Wonders in no particular order:

1. Taj Mahal, Agra, India
2. Christ the Redeemer statue, Rio de Janeiro
3. The Colosseum in Rome
4. The Great Wall of China
5. Jordan’s ancient city of Petra
6. The Inca ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru
7. The ancient Maya city of Chichén Itzá in Mexico.

But Timmeh’s attack dog whistle had been blown and his redneck commenters went to work:

Infidel Tiger: “Kate’s nickname is Richard.”
That’s the standard of joke I’d expect to hear in a grade five classroom at my school.

Pickles: “Kate Pounder. Last Drinks ! “
See above.

egg_: “Does Kate Pound AC/DC All Night Long?”
See above.

Habib: “Can’t she pull that shirt up over her head? She’s frightening all the vultures away.”
Niiiice.

Habib: “I hope they’re getting around by foor or tandem bicycle as well- it’d be so hypocritical to be flying on a carbon-producing tool of globalisation and capitalism.”
That’s the beautiful thing about redneck RWDBs — they never miss a chance to swing any conversation around so they can accuse somebody of environmental hypocrisy no matter how unrelated that conversation might be.

Art Vandelay: “I hope all that travel is carbon neutral..”
See above.

mareeS: “…why does she look like every other Joan Baez wannabe? Long stringy hair, glasses…Maybe it’s to do with her politics. So 60s.”
Clearly playing the (wo)man and not the ball in that comment.

Never mind. Timmeh will post something else tomorrow (more than likely lifted from Andrew Bolt’s blog) and his moronic commenters will put down their dole diaries long enough to make the kind of insightful and intelligent comments we’ve seen above about somebody else.

CONTINUING UPDATES:

Hanyu: “I notice that it’s okay to fly if you’re a Labor voter, but for anyone else it’s off with their heads. Kate Pounder is an idiot: she backs Rudd’s policies on climate change but says elsewhere on her site that she took at least three flights in Iran… And just for Habib… note Kate’s headwear at that link. At least she’s on the right track.”
This Hanyu is good! He/she/it managed to combine a climate change dig with an ugly dig. Clever.

egg_: “Some could prolly go a Pounder sans T-shirt
egg_ is back for more after he/she/it has spent the last hour going through the Poundster flickr account.

Andrew and Kate over at Poundster have issued an international Kevin07 Seven Wonders Challenge.

Kate campaigning for Labor in the electorate of India

Here, at the Taj Mahal, we slammed the Howard Government for wasting millions of dollars of taxpayers’ money on government advertising, called on the Prime Minister to end the phony election campaign and name the date to let the Australian people decide and we backed Kevin Rudd’s plans for an education revolution, action on climate change and restoring fairness in the workplace.

Let’s go a step further and issue a challenge to all Australian travellers out there who want Kevin Rudd to be PM. There are seven wonders of the world - can we get a show of support for Kevin07 in front of each one before election day? Let’s call it the Kevin07 Seven Wonders Challenge.
