Never one to let a good stereotyping opportunity pass him by, Andrew Bolt has grabbed onto the age and occupation of arrested and alleged G20 rioter Akin Sari and used it to smear him as a lazy, ne’er-do-well, welfare-sucking, smash-the-state student:
Still a student at 28? A commerce student, yet at an anti-capitalist rally?
However, because he has total respect for the due process of the law and stuff Bolta chucks in this plea:
Note: Sari is entitled to the presumption of innocence. Any comments presuming he is guilty of anything will be SNIPPED.
I’m 28 and I was a university student up until two weeks ago. And what’s more, as a teacher-in-training I was clearly boning up on leftist and nature-worship ideology. As Andrew so clearly argues over and over again in his column, engaging in any sort of education or self-improvement past the age of 21 is self-indulgent and dereliction of your duty to increase the productivity of the workforce.
